Decorating and furnishing a home is the perfect way to tap into your creative side, and the living room is the space in the house where we can most show off our personal tastes. Modern living room furniture can take an ordinary space and transform it into something extra special. While the high quality of contemporary furniture won’t fail to enhance your living room, there are certain design rules that you should stick to in order to make the most of the modern look.

•    Make sure that the colours you use in your living room don’t clash. For example, if you have a brightly coloured leather corner sofa, make sure that the other furniture in the room is the same colour, black or white.

•    In modern living rooms, keep furniture and clutter to a minimum. Choose one statement piece of furniture, and choose a few other pieces to enhance that.
